Here we are in South Florida at another Outdoor Living project. One of the things that we sometimes have to do is extend the outside of the house instead of building a pergola or a cabana. What we’re doing here, as you can see, is we’ve poured a concrete structure that added approximately 200 square feet. We’re finishing off the whole thing in concrete and then we’re going to do tongue and groove that will match the existing tongue and groove ceiling as you can see over here. One of the things you want to notice and make sure you have is enough space, when you move your structure or extend your structure out, to provide the shade that you need. In this case what we’re going to do to add the the space is we’re going to place and awning on the outside after we do our railing, tiling, everything else.
